We are expanding our technical services team and seeking a motivated Calibration Technician who is passionate about accuracy, compliance, and supporting mission-critical lab and manufacturing operations.
Position Overview
The Calibration Technician performs, documents, and maintains calibration activities on a wide range of process, laboratory, and environmental instruments. This individual ensures all equipment meets FDA, ISO 17025, and NIST traceability requirements while supporting Nexus CMM’s commitment to technical excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform calibration, testing, and verification of instruments such as temperature, pressure, flow, humidity, analytical balances, and process control systems.
- Execute calibration work both in-house and at client facilities under cGMP and ISO 17025 standards.
- Record “As-Found” and “As-Left” data, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance documentation.
- Maintain calibration records and certificates using CMMS or equivalent software.
- Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on instruments as needed.
- Support OOT (Out-of-Tolerance) investigations and assist with root cause analysis.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, EHS, and cleanroom protocols.
- Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical feedback and recommendations for calibration frequency optimization.
- Represent Nexus CMM professionally during client site visits and audits.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in calibration, metrology, or instrumentation within a GMP or regulated environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of NIST traceability and calibration standards.
- Familiar with CompuCal, Maximo, or other CMMS platforms.
- Strong understanding of process instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, etc.).
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team across multiple client locations.
- Technical or Associate degree in Metrology, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to client sites.
