💰 Compensation & Perks

• Salary: $300k – $400k base meaningful equity
• Location: San Francisco (in-office, ~25% travel to customer sites)

This company is building the AI platform that automates that drudgery — saving customers thousands of hours and millions of dollars every year. They serve 30% of the top 50 US brokers, have hit multiple 7-figure ARR in just over a year, and raised $25M (CRV, South Park Commons, Foundation Capital). Team from Affirm, Uber, DoorDash, and McKinsey, working side-by-side in SF.

🎯 Why This Role Exists

A founding, hands-on leadership role at the intersection of engineering, customer success, and product. In the early days you'll be deeply technical — writing code, working directly with customers, solving complex implementation challenges yourself. As the company scales, you'll build and lead the entire FDE function from the ground up.

⚙️ What You'll Do

• Partner directly with customers — from end users to executives — to understand business processes, pain points, and success criteria.
• Lead technical implementations hands-on — writing code and solving customer problems directly.
• Collaborate with Customer Success to drive customer outcomes and ensure successful implementations.
• Build and scale the FDE function — recruit and lead a team of forward deployed engineers.
• Identify product opportunities — spot where customer solutions can inform or extend the native platform.
• Align with Product and Engineering — translate customer needs into platform development.

✅ Must-have qualifications

• BS/MS in CS or related field, with 4 years of engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Go, plus SQL and data modeling.
• Project ownership: proven ability to lead ambiguous projects independently.
• Executive communication: comfortable working directly with senior customer stakeholders.
• Team leadership: experience leading a team.
• Travel: ~25% to customer sites.

• Experience with AI platforms, generative models, and LLMs.
• Previous early-stage startup or dynamic environment.
