Responsibilities
- Prepare food items in accordance with established recipes and safety guidelines.
- Operate Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and boost sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including kitchen equipment and dining spaces.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Assist with bussing tables and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in the café or restaurant.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure high-quality food handling practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments is preferred.
- Culinary experience is a plus, along with knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems (Aloha or Micros) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices within the kitchen environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining individual responsibilities.
