Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and preparing a variety of coffee beverages and food items. Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Prepare and serve food items, such as pastries and sandwiches
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or complaints
- Follow company policies and procedures for opening and closing the coffee bar
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed
Skills:
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic math skills for measuring ingredients
- Strong knowledge of different types of coffee beans, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
- Familiarity with the food industry's health and safety standards
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Exceptional customer service skills to provide a positive experience for customers
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
