Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vacant units for new residents, ensuring apartments are move-in ready
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including:
- Basic plumbing
- Light electrical work
- Carpentry and general repairs
- Assist with preventative maintenance to maintain property quality and minimize issues
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of common areas and grounds
- Support seasonal tasks such as snow removal and weather-related upkeep
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs
- Accurately document service requests, work orders, and completed tasks
- Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and vendors
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of maintenance, facilities, or related experience
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repair work
- Comfortable using standard hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in indoor and outdoor environments
Preferred:
- Experience in residential or property maintenance
- Trade school training or relevant certifications
- Familiarity with work order systems or preventative maintenance programs
