AD1 Global, a growing Hospitality management company is looking for an experienced Hotel Controller for their Portland Property, the Doubletree by Hilton.
The successful candidate will have solid Hotel accounting experience.
The Hotel Controller is responsible for preparing financial statements and maintaining the books & records of two properties (Hotels). This position works on various assignments including balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable and the preparation of sales tax & returns.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions.
- Perform month-end closing process.
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts.
- File monthly sales taxes.
- Plan and organize work and communicate goals to ensure all accounting standards are maintained.
- Manage accounts payable in the company's purchase order system.
- Prepare financial analysis of hotel progress to assist General Manages with variance explanation and in achieving financial goals.
- Develop and implement financial control procedures and systems; maintain documents for audits of hotel accounts; ensure compliance with government regulations and contractual agreements.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Ensure all accounts are reconciled on monthly basis, review and submit those reconciliations for approval.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a hotel/resort accounting, required.
- PMS and POS systems experience is a plus.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office.
- Previous Hilton experience is preferred, not required
- Experience working with financial management software such as Profitsage , Birchstreet , ADP and M3 or related systems.
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus.

- Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing paperwork and management reports, interpreting results, giving and receiving instructions, and training.
- Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently.
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
