This is a full-time, on-site role for a Maintenance Director at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Indialantic, Florida. The Maintenance Director will oversee daily operations of the maintenance team, ensuring the hotel premises, equipment, and systems are operating efficiently and safely. Duties include developing maintenance schedules, managing repairs and preventative maintenance, supervising and training staff, maintaining compliance with safety codes/regulations, and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations and positive guest experiences.
- Technical skills: Expertise in building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general facility maintenance.
- Management and leadership skills: Experience supervising a maintenance team, coordinating schedules, and managing projects effectively.
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
- Communication skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, vendors, and guests.
- Knowledge of safety regulations: Familiarity with OSHA standards, fire safety codes, and other regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in a hospitality environment is highly desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a relevant technical or trade certification is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site and adhere to the operational requirements of the property.
