Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide personalized care and support to clients in their own homes. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in healthcare settings such as Level II trauma centers, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or post-acute care. The caregiver will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by delivering professional, respectful, and attentive assistance tailored to each individual's needs. Experience in geriatrics, medical-surgical care, outpatient clinics, or teaching hospitals is highly valued. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication reminders and ensure medication adherence as prescribed
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals
- Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for appointments or treatments when necessary
- Follow care plans meticulously to ensure safety and well-being of clients
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided and any incidents or observations
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of hospital medicine, emergency medicine, and trauma protocols is beneficial
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently while following established care plans
- Valid certification or licensing as required by state regulations for caregiving roles (if applicable)
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are preferred for travel between client locations
