Duties
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor and observe patients for changes in condition, behavior, or health status
Administer medications and manage care plans in accordance with healthcare protocols
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption
Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment
Support patients with memory care needs including dementia or Alzheimer’s care
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety
Follow all safety procedures including CPR and first aid protocols when necessary
Qualifications
Previous experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments preferred
Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia is a plus
Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks such as resident transfers using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment
Strong observational skills for patient safety and well-being monitoring
Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills and patience when working with diverse populations
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced settings
