Accounting Manager
Direct Wire and Cable is seeking a Accounting Manager to lead and support financial operations at our Denver, PA facility in Lancaster County. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, managing daily activities, and guiding a small team, including direct reports.
This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening processes, and supporting business decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Accounting Manager will work closely with leadership across the organization while maintaining strong day-to-day involvement in accounting operations.
This role is onsite during the initial training period. Once fully trained and established in the role, a hybrid work schedule may be available based on candidate location. Due to team leadership responsibilities, regular onsite presence is expected to ensure accessibility, support, and collaboration.
We are looking for a practical, detail-oriented leader who takes ownership, communicates effectively, and can balance both strategic and day-to-day financial responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury activities
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and review financial statements, analyze variances, and support actionable insights
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including tracking performance against plan
- Support audits and tax processes with accurate documentation and coordination
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and financial decision-making
- Oversee rebate accruals and coordinate updates with Sales
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, systems, and overall efficiency
- Supervise, coach, and develop team members, ensuring strong daily execution and professional growth
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience (manufacturing experience a plus)
- Prior experience leading projects, processes, or small teams; direct supervisory experience required

Work Schedule & Location
- Monday–Friday at our Denver, PA facility
