Real Estate Finance Mid-Level Associate Attorney
Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney (mid-level) to join a leading global law firm and its highly regarded Real Estate Finance practice in Washington, D.C. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced real estate finance attorney to work on sophisticated transactions with leading institutional lenders and other market participants.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have substantive experience representing lenders in a range of commercial real estate finance transactions, including mortgage, mezzanine, and construction loans. Experience with real estate acquisitions and dispositions is also preferred.
Responsibilities
- Represent lenders in sophisticated commercial real estate finance transactions.
- Handle mortgage, mezzanine, and construction real estate loan transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements and related transaction documents.
- Advise clients throughout the lifecycle of real estate finance transactions, from initial structuring and due diligence through closing.
- Assist with real estate acquisitions and dispositions and related transactional matters.
- Work closely with clients and attorneys across practice areas to develop practical, commercially focused solutions.
- Manage multiple sophisticated transactions while maintaining strong attention to detail and client service.
Qualifications
- Mid-level Associate Attorney with substantive real estate finance experience.
- Meaningful experience representing lenders in commercial real estate transactions.
- Experience with mortgage, mezzanine, and construction loans strongly preferred.
- Experience with real estate acquisitions and dispositions preferred.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Prior law firm experience required.
- Admission to the District of Columbia Bar required.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $260,000–$420,000 annually, with actual compensation determined based on experience and other relevant factors.
