Resource Specialist’s Aide
Holy Family School in South Bend is in search of a qualified person to aid and support the school Resources Specialist. The ideal candidate will be faith-filled and dedicated to providing quality care for students of all abilities integrating the mission of Holy Family School and the Diocese of Fort Wayne / South Bend in all planning, teaching, and classroom activities. The primary area of focus will be on students in grades 3rd-5th.
Job Responsibilities Include:

Work as directed by the Resource Specialist to ensure that students with existing ILP, IEP, and CAP plans receive appropriate instruction and services.

Provide tutoring, and instructional support to students with a variety of learning disabilities as directed by the Resource Specialist

Aid the Resource Specialist with maintaining student organization, behavior, and transitions throughout the day.

Monitor instruction and performance of students for the purpose of ensuring successful progress towards student’s goals and objectives.

Communicate regularly and effectively with the Resource Specialist classroom teachers, related arts teachers, and Office personnel.

Work cooperatively with administrators, the Resource Specialist, classroom teachers, other staff, and parents on various initiatives, projects, and field trips as directed by the Resource Specialist and administration.

Substitute when asked to cover teacher absences.

Commit to ongoing faith formation and professional growth.

Foster the spiritual development of students by modeling Catholic doctrine, values, and morals.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
-
High School Diploma
-
High level thinking and problem solving skills.
-
Ability to speak and write fluently and grammatically correct English.

Strong written, verbal presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs,
-
Stand for 30 minutes at a time,
-
Operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment.

Must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds.
