Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects in the Pleasanton area. Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers and Superintendents in the day-to-day execution of commercial construction projects
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and cost control
- Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and design teams
- Review drawings and specifications for constructability and scope alignment
- Maintain accurate project documentation and filing systems
- Assist with procurement, buyout, and material tracking
- Participate in jobsite meetings and site walks to monitor progress and quality
- Help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction (internship experience considered)
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods
- Proficiency with construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in both office and jobsite environments
- Valid driver’s license and ability to commute to local job sites
- Experience with ground-up commercial or large TI projects
- Familiarity with scheduling, cost tracking, and contract administration
- Salary Range: $85,000 – $110,000 annually (dependent on experience and qualifications)
