Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of mechanical construction projects, from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout
- Manage industrial MEP scopes including mechanical piping, HVAC systems, process piping, and equipment installation
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
- Coordinate with owners, general contractors, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on scope and execution
- Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to project requirements and safety standards
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts for accuracy and constructability
- Drive procurement of mechanical equipment and materials, ensuring timely delivery
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, particularly in active industrial facilities
- Lead project meetings and provide clear communication to stakeholders
- Support commissioning, startup, and turnover processes
- 5–10 years of experience in mechanical construction project management
- Strong background in industrial construction (e.g., manufacturing plants, refineries, pulp & paper, energy facilities)
- Proven experience managing MEP scopes with an emphasis on mechanical systems
- Solid understanding of mechanical piping systems, HVAC, and industrial equipment installation
- Experience working in active/operating facilities (shutdowns, turnarounds, or brownfield projects preferred)
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or Primavera
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent field experience will be considered
