Mechanical Construction Project Engineer | HVAC, Piping & Plumbing

We’re partnered with a respected mechanical contractor supporting commercial and industrial construction projects across the Detroit market. They’re looking to add a Project Engineer to support project teams on active mechanical construction work and gain hands-on exposure to full project lifecycle execution.

This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build a long-term path in mechanical construction and work closely with experienced Project Managers and Superintendents.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Project Managers with day-to-day project execution
• Assist with submittals, RFIs, material tracking, and document control
• Help coordinate HVAC, piping, and plumbing scopes with field teams and trade partners
• Track project costs, change orders, and schedule updates
• Participate in project meetings and coordination efforts
• Gain exposure to buyout, procurement, and closeout processes
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 1 years of experience in mechanical construction or related construction role
• Exposure to HVAC, piping, and/or plumbing systems
• Experience supporting commercial and/or industrial projects
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Desire to grow into a Project Manager role over time
• Mechanical contractor or GC project team experience preferred
