Elementary Classroom Aide

Position Summary: The Teacher aide supports the classroom Teachers through working with students and covering duties.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

Professional Expectations: In addition to the Employee Handbook and the Faculty Procedures Handbook, the Expectations of Teachers Aide include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide support for classroom teachers as needed:
• Duty coverage
• Working with small groups
• Working with individual students
• Accompanying students to Specials
• Regular communication with the classroom teacher
• Organizing/implementing creative projects
• Support during specials as needed
• Monitor behaviors in the classroom as needed/appropriate
• Work with struggling learners and high-ability/high-achieving learners
• While the main focus of this position is working with students, there may also be some clerical classroom work as well.

ABOUT DENVER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
