Position Summary: The Teacher aide supports the classroom Teachers through working with students and covering duties.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

Professional Expectations: In addition to the Employee Handbook and the Faculty Procedures Handbook, the Expectations of Teachers Aide include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide support for classroom teachers as needed:
- Duty coverage
- Working with small groups
- Working with individual students
- Accompanying students to Specials
- Regular communication with the classroom teacher
- Organizing/implementing creative projects
- Support during specials as needed
- Monitor behaviors in the classroom as needed/appropriate
- Work with struggling learners and high-ability/high-achieving learners
- While the main focus of this position is working with students, there may also be some clerical classroom work as well.
