GENERAL SUMMARY: Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product or services provided to the customer through the performance and documentation of all required inspections is in accordance with corresponding contractual requirements and company procedures. Has a strong knowledge of ship repair inspection and certification procedures, and a working knowledge of tools, equipment, maintenance, testing, and calibration processes that correspond to the tasking to which they are assigned. Verified proper documentation of all required repairs and communicates identified deficiencies to production to initiate corrective actions. Ensures that all test and inspection documentation is accounted for and thoroughly completed prior to certification. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Travel and overtime may be required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enforcing an effective QA program that meets all the requirements of the Delphinus Engineering, Inc-MSD Quality Management Systems, and other higher-level authority guidance.
- Routinely visit worksites and coordinate with production supervisors to monitor production performance and adherence to quality and contractual requirements.
- Work cross-functionally with Production and Support personnel in support of work execution and certification.
- Interface with government oversight quality personnel per contractual and situational requirements.
- Schedule, supervise, and support NAVSEA Standard Item (V), (I), and (G) checkpoints.
- Train Quality Assurance Inspectors on proper inspection techniques, documentation requirements, and utilization of precision measuring devices.
- Conduct internal audits/surveillances to ensure adherence to company procedures/policies.
- Assist in preparation and execution of periodic Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) audits of the company's implementation and compliance of the Quality Management System, to include adjudication of all findings.
- Perform root cause analysis of identified problems to determine effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Routinely interface with management and engineering staff to determine quality and technical requirements.
- Review and verify compliance with quality, technical, and contractual requirements prior to certifying Technical Work Documents (TWDs) and associated Objective Quality Evidence (OQE), to include QA forms, testing data, and all other applicable supporting documentation required.
- Provide professional and direct feedback of identified deficiencies to project, support, and management personnel for corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Recommend modifications to existing quality or production processes to continuously improve the Quality Management System.
- Track and analyze quantitative and qualitative quality metrics to determine the effectiveness of processes, training, and previous corrective actions.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of high school, trade, or industrial school or GED equivalent.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Seven years of experience in performing quality assurance and control inspections on naval ship Hull, Mechanical, Electrical systems for quality, specification, and engineering drawing requirement compliance.
- Five years of specialized experience in inspecting, reviewing, and certifying work on systems/components.
- Must be familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Systems, Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual Quality requirements, NAVSEA Standard Items or similar quality system implementation and control.
- Must possess working knowledge of naval shipboard systems.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, written technical instructions and manuals.
- Must be familiar with and able to use Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check and obtain and maintain a security badge for all military installations and civilian shipyards. Must have or be able to obtain a passport.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience in entering reports into and extracting information from Navy Maintenance Database (NMD)
- Prior experience with receipt inspection, handling, and storage of Level I and/or DSS-SOC controlled material.
- Prior experience in performing quality assurance inspections and/or supervision on submarine systems/components.
- Working knowledge of welding, brazing, and Nondestructive Testing (NDT) processes and higher-tier requirements.
