What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gift Basket Clerk position at Dave's Fresh Marketplace?
Essential Functions:
- Provide the highest level of prompt and friendly customer service; greets and thanks customers
- Establish friendly relationship with customers
- Understands importance of smiling, making eye contact and thanking customers upon fulfilling their request
- Enjoy working creatively, merchandising and setting up displays
- Maintains a positive work environment
- Rings customer's orders through register system accurately and efficiently
- Assists customers by providing information and answering questions
- Assists customer in selecting items
- Able to sell items discreetly without being aggressive
- Maintains excellent communication with other staff
- Communicates customer requests and suggestions to management
- Assists with stocking, neatening displays putting away merchandise and cleaning
- Completes all cleaning tasks as required
- Follows all safety practices and procedures

- Ability to creatively merchandise items
- Phone skills necessary
- Must be able to work well with others and integrate into a team
- Able to provide and receive constructive feedback
- Reliable and dependable; able to work a flexible schedule – including weekends
- Must be able to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week
- Ability to solve practical problems
- Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude are essential to interact with customers and employees
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally, 10 - 20 lbs constantly
- Standing and walking constantly
