Top commercial banking team seeking a highly analytical Commercial Credit Underwriter with deep C&I lending experience to join a growing middle market platform.
This is a high-visibility opportunity to work on complex commercial credit transactions, partner directly with Relationship Managers, and underwrite sophisticated middle market C&I deals across a diverse portfolio.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Underwrite complex C&I credit facilities, renewals, modifications, and new money requests
• Analyze company financials, cash flow, borrowing bases, collateral, liquidity, and guarantor support
• Structure commercial loans and assess overall credit risk exposure
• Work closely with Commercial Bankers on client meetings, deal discussions, and transaction strategy
• Evaluate industries, market trends, and borrower performance
• Mentor junior analysts on advanced underwriting and credit analysis
What They’re Looking For:
• 5 years of commercial credit underwriting experience
• Strong middle market C&I underwriting background required
• Experience with commercial lending, loan structuring, cash flow analysis, and risk assessment
• Ability to analyze financial statements, DSCR, leverage, borrowing bases, A/R & A/P aging, and guarantor strength
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with bankers and clients
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
