Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Location: Sac, CA (Hybrid)
Compensation: C2C Hourly rate
Overview:
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will provide comprehensive project, technical,
and functional management support for large-scale IT initiatives aligned with
Healthcare Insurance Programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track
record of delivering high-quality business and technical analysis in complex
enterprise environments, leveraging SDLC and Agile methodologies to guide
system design, development, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze, document, and translate business requirements into technical
specifications to support system design and development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects,
testers, and business stakeholders, to ensure requirements alignment and
solution integrity.
Facilitate and participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions to identify
system gaps, define new requirements, and support change control
processes.
Conduct business process mapping, gap analysis, and cost-benefit
assessments to recommend effective solutions.
Participate in and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and System Testing
activities, ensuring traceability of requirements through HP ALM, Jira, or
equivalent tools.
Support change management efforts by developing and executing
communication, training, and implementation plans for organizational or
technical changes.
Analyze data and generate reports to support business decisions and
monitor system performance.
Apply knowledge of State Welfare Medi-Cal projects, SAWS, or comparable
eligibility and health insurance systems to ensure compliance with
applicable policies and procedures.
Collaborate in Agile project ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog
grooming, and retrospectives, ensuring continuous delivery and
improvement.
Prepare detailed documentation, including Business Requirement
Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and System
Design Specifications.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills for engaging diverse
stakeholder groups.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet project
deadlines.
Proficiency in requirements management and documentation tools.
Understanding of healthcare and eligibility business processes and data
integration principles.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business
Administration, or a related field.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Salary : $80 - $90
