Senior Quality Systems Manager
- Location: CA Central Valley (Fresno/Clovis/Goshen, CA Corridor - RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE )
- Role Type: Direct Hire/Perm (Role is ONSITE...may be occasional hybrid work opportunities.)
- Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Systems ( FSQ, FSQA, Food -Safety)
- Reports To: Executive Quality leadership team (Role is a MANAGER but can perhaps be on track/hired as a Director)
The Senior Quality Systems Manager leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems within a food manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, strengthens food safety programs, and supports the production of consistent, high-quality products. The position partners with cross-functional teams to maintain audit readiness, drive preventive quality measures, and build a culture of operational excellence.
Job Duties
- Oversee the design, maintenance, and improvement of the facility's quality management system.
- Manage document control, change management, and record retention processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable food safety and quality regulations, including HACCP, GMPs, and preventive controls.
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external regulatory or third-party audits.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action programs.
- Develop and track quality system performance metrics.
- Collaborate with operations, R&D, supply chain, and engineering to integrate quality requirements into daily activities and long-term planning.
- Support and deliver training on quality and food safety programs.
- Must be able to, bring experience leading, mentoring, and developing quality systems staff onsite and in different locations.
Ideally Qualified candidates will bring the following to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Significant experience in quality systems management within food manufacturing or a regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality system frameworks.
- Experience in the READY TO EAT /RTE Food Category would be a BIG PLUS/BONUS
- Experience in a midsize to larger corporate Quality/Quality systems environment is desired.
- Any Experience in Beverage Products/Product Packaging and Processing also considered a PLUS
- Proven experience leading audits and managing corrective actions.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
- Preferred: advanced degree or certifications such as HACCP, PCQI, or SQF; experience with digital quality systems or enterprise quality management software.
