Maintenance Mechanic

 About the role

We're looking for a Maintenance Mechanic for our well-established food manufacturer in South FL. This is a great foot-in-the-door opportunity for someone mechanically inclined who wants to build a long-term career in plant maintenance. You'll work alongside seasoned mechanics, getting hands-on experience with production equipment in a clean, organized, GMP-regulated environment.

What you'll do 

Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging and production equipment

 

Support equipment setups and line changeovers to minimize downtime

 

Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and escalate issues to senior technicians as needed

 

Maintain organized tools, parts areas, and work zones

 

Document completed work and communicate status updates accurately

 

Follow all safety protocols and GMP standards at all times

What we're looking for  

High school diploma or equivalent

1 year in a mechanical or maintenance role; packaging equipment experience a plus

Basic understanding of pneumatic and electrical systems

Comfortable with hand tools and committed to safe work practices

Team player who follows direction and takes initiative to grow

Shift options: 5:00AM-1:30PM or 1:30PM-10:00PM
