Job Location: REMOTE - we have presences in the Bay Area and Austin, TX

Compensation: $120K - $260K base Depending on experience plus equity!

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CPU Power Analysis (PPA) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing power consumption in CPU designs, ensuring efficiency and performance through advanced analysis techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of RTL design and power modeling to deliver high-quality solutions for next-generation CPU architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct power analysis and optimization of CPU architectures to meet performance and efficiency targets.
• Utilize PPA tools to evaluate power consumption across various workloads and design scenarios.
• Perform RTL design reviews and provide feedback on power efficiency improvements.
• Develop and apply power modeling techniques to predict power consumption accurately.
• Collaborate with design and verification teams to ensure power targets are met at all design stages.
• Implement gate-level optimization strategies to reduce power without compromising performance.
• Analyze and report findings related to power consumption, presenting data to stakeholders.
• Support the integration of PTPX and other relevant tools in the power analysis workflow.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in CPU power analysis and optimization with a focus on performance.
• Strong knowledge of RTL design and power modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with tools such as PowerArtist and methodologies for workload analysis.
• Experience with RISC-V architecture and understanding of its power characteristics is a plus.
• Ability to perform gate-level optimization and knowledge of PTPX.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
