Position Overview
We are seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney with civil litigation experience to join our Boston office. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of commercial defense litigation matters, including general liability, insurance coverage disputes, and complex commercial claims. This role offers hands-on litigation experience, mentorship from seasoned trial attorneys, and a clear path for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in state and federal courts throughout Massachusetts and New England.
Analyze complex legal and factual issues; conduct thorough legal research.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses.
Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel to provide timely updates and strategic advice.
Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Massachusetts Bar
Civil litigation experience; insurance defense or commercial litigation background preferred.
Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
