Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Civil Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating costs associated with civil engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness in bid proposals. This role is crucial for the planning and execution of various construction projects, particularly in site development and utility work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects including grading, earthwork, and site development.
• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary data for estimates.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and requirements.
• Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain a database of historical cost records and market trends to improve estimating accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an estimator in civil engineering or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of grading, earthwork, site development, drilling, utility, and excavating processes.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
