What You’ll Do

As a Construction Estimator, you’ll be the backbone of our project planning process. Your day-to-day will include:

• Lead Estimating for Diverse Projects: Commercial, healthcare, and manufacturing fit-outs.
• Collaborate & Communicate: Attend on-site meetings with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure every detail aligns with specifications.
• Negotiate & Strategize: Secure competitive contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
• Plan Ahead: Develop work schedules with short-term and long-term look-aheads.
• Own the Numbers: Perform take-offs, procure materials, and prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
• Drive Accuracy: Review plans, create RFIs, track submittals, and evaluate bids.
• Stay Ahead: Maintain historical cost data and monitor evolving project details.
• Support Success: Assist in budgeting, scheduling, and contract negotiations.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in construction estimating.
• Proficiency in estimating tools like Bluebeam, ProEst, or PlanSwift.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with healthcare or biopharma projects.
• Project management experience on $1M projects.
• Familiarity with Procore and MS Office.
• PMP certification.

Work Environment:

Schedule: 7 AM – 4 PM

Locations: Company HQ in Brookfield, CT project sites in Fairfield, Hartford, New Haven counties, and Poughkeepsie, NY.

This is a Permanent position based out of Brookfield, CT.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Brookfield,CT.
