Key Responsibilities
- Manage the financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards specific to non-profit organizations.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of financial statements and reports to the board and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with program managers to develop budgets for grants and programs.
- Provide training and support to staff on financial procedures and compliance issues.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a non-profit or public accounting setting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices applicable to non-profit organizations.
- Experience with financial software and reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
