What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitating adaptive reading workshops for children ages 4-7 that build foundational competencies in phonics, fluency, and comprehension
• Creating personalized motivational experiences that resonate with young learners and foster a lifelong passion for reading
• Evaluating student performance data to iteratively improve your methods and generate actionable insights
• Partnering with the technology team to assess and refine AI-powered literacy tools

Reading Teacher Key Responsibilities

Cultivate a passion for reading in young students

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Master's degree or advanced certification in reading instruction (examples include Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary learners
• Capable of assessing reading proficiency, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction independent of pre-written curricula
• Experienced with AI and adaptive learning platforms, and able to respond to student behaviors within these systems
• Authorized to work legally in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Available to work on-site at one of the following campuses: Lake Forest (Orange County), CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Monica, CA; Chicago, IL; New York City, NY; Chantilly (Washington), VA

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
