What are the responsibilities and job description for the Literacy Interventionist, Unbound Academy (Remote) - $60,000/year USD position at Crossover?
You recognize the turning point—the instant a student stops relying on guesswork and begins to read with command. They glance up and announce, "I can do this." If that's the work you're looking for every day, you belong here.
Unbound is a remote-first online school focused on genuine progress, not compliance with seat time. We are reimagining student learning to enable faster advancement, a more enjoyable experience, and confidence that can be objectively measured.
In most weeks, you will facilitate high-impact intervention sessions. In others, you will conduct brief motivation check-ins that maintain momentum and support goal achievement. This position is ideal for individuals who value autonomy, rapid feedback cycles, and visible results. It is not suited to those seeking a rigid script or uncomfortable with using data.
If you are committed to helping struggling readers achieve substantial gains—and you seek the flexibility to customize your methods for each student—we would like to speak with you.
What You Will Be Doing
Take ownership of outcomes for grades 3–8—quantifiable improvements in fluency and comprehension—through the delivery of personalized virtual interventions and motivational support that cultivates confidence.
Basic Requirements
Unbound Academy is Arizona’s first virtual, tuition-free charter school, designed to make grades 4-8 limitless, personal, and exciting. This isn’t just an alternative to the traditional school system. It’s a revolutionary way for your family to reclaim time, unlock potential, and reimagine what education can be.
At Unbound Academy, students can master their core academics in just two hours a day. Our teachers use an AI-powered learning model to adjust to each child’s pace and interests, ensuring progress happens twice as fast as in a typical classroom.
By cutting out the fluff and streamlining coursework, we not only make a significant academic impact—we make learning fun, personal, and incredibly effective.
