Students finish their core academics in two concentrated hours through AI-driven learning platforms, then dedicate the remainder of their day to developing public speaking ability, critical reasoning, and practical execution skills. Outcomes consistently place students in the top 1% nationwide. The approach is proven. The challenge lies in establishing credibility within this market.

From year zero into year one, this role centers on building enrollment from the ground up. In Santa Barbara, that requires cultivating confidence within close-knit social networks where reputation multiplies and errors persist. You will design private information sessions, conduct personal campus tours, engage families in individual discussions, and deliberately assemble the founding group. After enrollment reaches capacity and an admissions director is hired, your focus transitions to serving as the campus's lead parent relationship manager, maintaining alignment and converting satisfied families into advocates throughout their communities.

This position demands relationship architecture, not transactional selling. You must establish credibility with families who have access to any educational institution nationally and who require substantive responses to challenging questions regarding AI integration, screen exposure, and sustained achievement. A single poorly aligned family can undermine cohesion within a 25-student group. Strategic selectivity is essential.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead the complete enrollment process from initial inquiry through executed enrollment agreement until 25 students are confirmed
  • Design and deliver tailored information sessions and individual tours that attract aligned families while filtering out unsuitable candidates
  • Establish credibility and presence through consistent face-to-face engagement, personal appointments, and strategic community alliances throughout Santa Barbara
  • Function as the principal point of contact for families, providing personalized, white-glove service
  • Communicate and justify Alpha's AI-driven educational model to discerning, questioning parents

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Operating within a standard 9–5 framework; you will work mornings, afternoons, and selected evenings as needed
  • Depending on an established admissions infrastructure or marketing department to generate prospects
  • Enrolling every applicant to meet targets; safeguarding cohort integrity outweighs volume
  • Remaining office-based; sustained visibility within the community is mandatory

Director Of Family Success Key Responsibilities

Recruit and secure a founding cohort of 25 students in Santa Barbara, then develop enduring parent engagement and referral momentum to sustain enrollment growth over time.

Basic Requirements

  • Currently live within commuting range of Santa Barbara or prepared to relocate within 60 days
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
  • 5 years working with high-net-worth individuals in consultative sales or premium client service environments (including private school admissions, luxury hospitality, philanthropic development, or comparable fields)
  • Proven track record managing sales or enrollment pipelines with measurable conversion outcomes
  • Professional demeanor and articulation appropriate for affluent, well-educated family audiences
  • Self-directed entrepreneurial mindset suited to independent operation within a startup campus setting
  • Strong belief in AI-enhanced education and readiness to address reservations about screen usage and unconventional instructional approaches
  • Flexible schedule accommodating early mornings (7–9am), late afternoons (2–4pm), evening programming (2–3x monthly), and periodic weekend commitments

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Pre-existing connections within Santa Barbara or Montecito social and professional circles
  • Leadership experience in admissions for private or independent schools
  • Professional history in luxury real estate, capital campaigns, or major donor cultivation
  • Prior involvement with startup ventures or early-stage organizations
  • Demonstrated ability planning upscale events or building institutional partnerships

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
