Alpha students don't experience traditional lectures. They progress through academics using AI-driven adaptive software at individualized speeds, frequently mastering an entire grade level within weeks. Your role encompasses everything the software cannot provide: guiding students through setbacks, teaching them how to deliver constructive feedback, raising their performance to levels they never imagined possible, and creating an environment where they genuinely want to be present. You'll facilitate interactive life skills workshops covering public speaking, concentration, and time management, followed by motivational sessions designed to inspire authentic engagement rather than mere compliance.
This is not a conventional classroom environment. You'll support a compact group of K-12 students who develop personal relationships with you. Using Coachbot analytics, you'll monitor their development, identify obstacles, and teach them problem-solving strategies to overcome challenges independently. When every student in your cohort reaches their weekly targets and 90% provide positive feedback in surveys, you'll see tangible evidence that the model succeeds because of your execution.
Guides who excel with their cohorts advance to Lead Guide positions—mentoring fellow Guides and influencing campus-wide implementation of Alpha's educational philosophy. As Alpha expands to new locations, the individuals establishing excellence standards today become the leaders scaling the model tomorrow. If education hasn't been on your career radar but you believe you could fundamentally alter a young person's path, this opportunity transforms that conviction into your daily work. Submit your application now.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops for K-12 students addressing subjects such as public speaking, concentration, and feedback delivery: interactive, project-driven sessions where you actively engage rather than lecture
- Supporting a small student cohort on a daily basis, leveraging Coachbot analytics and individual student profiles to establish personalized objectives, monitor application-based progress, and encourage continuous advancement for each student
- Developing and administering mastery-based evaluations (Test2Pass) that confirm genuine skill acquisition rather than simple attendance
- Building authentic relationships with students: discovering their passions, identifying unique motivational factors for each individual, and tailoring your coaching methods to match
- Maintaining rigorous performance standards: achieving 100% weekly goal completion across your cohort and securing 90% satisfaction ratings on student surveys
- Delivering academic subject instruction. Students master math, reading, and science via adaptive applications. You will never use a whiteboard to explain mathematical concepts like long division.
- Creating original lesson plans. Alpha supplies a structured life skills curriculum with implementation guides. Your responsibility is execution and delivery, not curriculum development.
- Handling traditional teaching tasks like grading papers, conducting parent-teacher conferences, or proctoring standardized examinations. Report card completion and state test preparation are not part of this position.
- Providing passive supervision of students using computers. When students encounter difficulties, you coach them toward self-directed problem-solving. Passive observation contradicts the core purpose of this role.
- Compromising standards when students resist. The motivational framework depends on maintaining high expectations, not offering accommodations when confronted with discomfort.
Guide a cohort of K-12 students toward loving their educational experience, accelerating their learning through adaptive technology, and developing essential life skills via compelling workshops.

- Authorization to work legally in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
- Background as a sports coach, theater director, debate team leader, or camp program coordinator where you inspired children to excel rather than simply show up
- Demonstrated history of exceptional personal accomplishment (in academics, athletics, or professional settings) that establishes credibility with students and their families
- Ease with performing before groups: the type of commanding presence that captivates middle schoolers without needing to elevate your voice
- Prior exposure to adaptive learning systems or educational technology platforms (such as Khan Academy, IXL, DreamBox)
