Job Summary
Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) Pediatrics The organization is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist to work in an acute hospital setting. The position involves providing inpatient and outpatient therapy to pediatric patients, supporting developmental and recovery goals within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Details
- Location: The position is based at a healthcare facility specializing in pediatric care.
- Certifications and Education: BLS certification required; Alaska Physical Therapist License; at least 1 year of relevant experience; first-time travelers accepted with 2 years of experience.
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Additional Qualifications: Experience with inpatient pediatric care, acute care, and outpatient therapy is required; proficiency in pediatric assessment, gait training, use of adaptive equipment, and patient family education.
- Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive pediatric physical therapy including evaluation, plan of care development, gait training, and patient rehabilitation in inpatient and outpatient settings. Must be willing to work approximately 1-2 weekend shifts per month and prior RTO must be included in submittal.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience, inpatient experience, and familiarity with electronic charting system.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have inpatient and pediatric therapy experience, and must commit to working specified holidays. Candidates are expected to float within scope as needed to meet facility needs.
- Submission Requirements: Responses needed regarding prior work at a healthcare facility, references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years, and confirmation of valid state license in hand for auto offer.
