This role involves delivering evidence-based therapy, conducting assessments, and collaborating within an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS certification; valid A SP (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) license; 0 years of experience required.
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Providing acute care, adult rehabilitation therapy, assessments, speech evaluations, and treatment planning. Conducting fiberoptic endoscopic evaluations of swallow (FEES), modified barium swallow studies, and interpreting FEES and modified barium swallow results. Managing patients with conditions such as CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), degenerative diseases, TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), and neurological disorders. Educating patients and families regarding communication and swallowing strategies, modifying diet orders, and documenting treatment and progress within the electronic medical record system.
- Additional Information: Candidates must include their response to whether they have previously worked at a Providence facility, with details of location and dates. They must also provide two references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the past 3 years, prior to start date.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates should not reach out directly to facility contacts unless for an interview; modules are non-billable and must be completed pre-start and during orientation. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities, and refusal to do so may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
