Our financial services client is seeking a Sr. Marketing Project Manager to work a 12-month assignment in Tempe, AZ. Candidates must be able to work onsite 5 days/week (role is 40 hrs/week).
The Senior Marketing Project Manager oversees complex marketing programs in a fast-paced, global environment. This role owns end-to-end project execution, including timelines, deliverables, stakeholder alignment, and reporting. Success requires strong project management discipline, marketing process knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, stakeholders, communications, and deliverables
- Serve as the central owner of project status, documentation, and data accuracy
- Lead meetings, creative reviews, and project updates with clear agendas and actionable follow-ups
- Track progress, identify risks early, and escalate issues when needed
- Communicate status updates consistently across stakeholders
- Maintain accurate project data for reporting, resourcing, and audit purposes
- Identify efficiencies and align work across teams and initiatives
- Ensure adherence to marketing processes and recommend improvements
- Stay organized, responsive, and proactive in supporting project needs
Required Qualifications
- 6 years of experience in marketing project management
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex global projects
- Strong leadership presence with experience leading stakeholder meetings
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex workflows and drive execution
- Self-starter with strong problem solving skills
- Experience with creative development across digital and marketing channels
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Workfront
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field, or PMP certification
- Experience working in a marketing or creative agency
- Ability to contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture
