Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and technically savvy Territory Sales Manager to join a rapidly expanding industrial equipment manufacturer. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth across a defined territory, building strong client relationships, and delivering high-impact packaging and production line solutions to manufacturing customers.
This position is ideal for a results-oriented professional with a background in technical or capital equipment sales who is excited by the challenge of growing a territory, managing existing accounts, and prospecting for new business.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities within food, beverage, and other industrial manufacturing sectors.
Present and demonstrate capital equipment solutions to engineering, maintenance, and production decision-makers.
Conduct on-site product demos and provide consultative support tailored to customer needs.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
Maintain and grow existing customer relationships, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and retention.
Prepare quotes, proposals, and sales reports, and manage all activities within the CRM system (Salesforce preferred).
Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer presentations to showcase products and capabilities.
Collaborate with internal technical and support teams to deliver seamless project execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in technical sales, account management, or client service within a manufacturing, industrial, or B2B environment.
Experience selling capital equipment, packaging machinery, printing systems, or other industrial automation solutions is highly desirable.
Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.
Comfortable with frequent travel (approx. 3–4 days/month) within the assigned territory (St. Louis, Kansas City, Chicago).
Must live within 40 miles of St. Louis Airport and have space available to store demo equipment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; Salesforce experience is a plus.
