Covered California is seeking a visionary and results-driven Manager II, Assistant Deputy Director, to lead and elevate our Facilities and Real Estate Services Sections.
Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of the Business Services Branch (BSB), you will oversee the day-to-day administration and operations of these critical sections. As a key leader, you will plan, organize, and evaluate the work of a multi-disciplinary team of technical and analytical staff, including supervisors. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the development and implementation of administrative policies, priorities, and long-term initiatives that directly support Covered California’s mission.
As the Assistant Deputy Director, you will provide:
- Strategic oversight and administration for the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Section and Real Estate Services Section, ensuring alignment with Covered California’s mission and organizational priorities.
- Leadership and development of a multi-disciplinary team of technical and analytical staff, including supervisors, to drive operational effectiveness and delivery.
- Oversight of sensitive and critical communications with Covered California’s Executive Leadership and control agencies, where your expertise and tact will be vital in navigating complex, high-stakes issues related to facilities and real estate.
- Supervision and management of staff activities, including workload prioritization, performance evaluations, training, staffing needs, and resource allocation to ensure operational excellence.
Salary:
$9,572.00 - $10,867.00 per Month
*New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
