Overview:
We’re hiring a Telecommunications Support Technician to join a Unified Communications team that manages a large, multi-site enterprise telephony environment. This role supports critical voice and video systems across multiple facilities and requires hands-on experience with Cisco VoIP technologies and telephony infrastructure.
What You’ll Do:
- Install, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain telecom equipment and services
- Support Cisco Call Manager (12.x ), Unity voicemail, VoIP systems, analog lines, paging, and call-accounting systems
- Handle MAC work through ITSM platforms
- Coordinate with IT teams and vendors on infrastructure changes
- Maintain telecom databases (NICE, Avtec, Microcall, paging tools)
- Support voice/video conference scheduling and troubleshooting
- Perform wiring work, documentation updates, and telecom maintenance
- Participate in rotating on-call support (low frequency)
What We’re Looking For:
- 7–9 years of telecom experience (degree can reduce required experience)
- Hands-on experience supporting large telephony or Cisco VoIP environments
- Strong knowledge of telecom wiring standards
- Cisco Call Manager and Unity experience required
- Experience working in enterprise-scale IT organizations
Preferred:
- Cisco UC certifications
- Informacast experience
- Microsoft Server exposure
- Experience with telecom database tools
