Location Requirement (Remote with Geographic Restriction)
*This is a remote position, however candidates must reside within a 125-mile radius of Portland, Oregon due to client requirements.*
We’re seeking a Contract Acquisition Specialist II to support a high-impact Grants & Agreements Acquisition Team within a large public-sector organization. This role works closely with Contracting Officers (COs) and internal stakeholders to support the full lifecycle of contracts, grants, and agreements for professional and technical services.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Finance, or related fields highly desired)
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2–4 years of directly related procurement, contracts, or financial assistance experience (with degree)
- OR 3–5 years without a degree
- 24 semester hours across qualifying coursework (e.g., business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics)
- Experience supporting professional services, IT services, or financial assistance procurement
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and written communication skills
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with federal or public-sector procurement
- Familiarity with FAR, 2 CFR 200, or grants & agreements
- Background in utilities, energy, or infrastructure environments
- Strong editing and proofreading skills
What You’ll Do
As a key member of the acquisition team, you’ll provide hands-on support across multiple procurement actions, including:
- Supporting Contracting Officers with solicitation, contract, and award documentation
- Drafting and editing procurement documents, correspondence, and internal communications
- Assisting with Statements of Work (SOWs), price analysis, and market research
- Preparing and validating task orders, blanket purchase agreements, and contract releases
- Coordinating contract closeouts, ensuring all services and invoices are complete
- Tracking and organizing procurement documents, milestones, and action items
- Serving as a point of contact for internal clients and external vendors on process-related questions
- Participating in meetings, taking notes, tracking follow-ups, and distributing materials
- Supporting process improvements, templates, and best practices across the team
- Providing cross-training and knowledge sharing as requested
