Overview
We are seeking a Consultant-level Business Analyst / Project Lead with strong technical writing and documentation expertise to support a large-scale information security assessment program.
This role will help drive planning, coordination, quality assurance, reporting, and documentation efforts across statewide security initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced working in fast-paced, compliance-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Support
- Support planning and execution of enterprise information security initiatives
- Track project milestones, deadlines, risks, and deliverables
- Provide status reporting and operational support updates
- Recommend adjustments to timelines and project activities as needed
Technical Writing & Documentation
- Create and maintain:
- Policies
- Procedures
- Process documentation
- SOPs
- Desk manuals
- Process flows and diagrams
- Ensure documentation consistency, quality, and accuracy
- Review and edit materials submitted by internal teams and vendors
Assessment & Reporting Support
- Assist with tracking and reporting assessment progress and findings
- Help identify and document key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Prepare professional program updates and presentations for leadership
- Support compliance and security-related reporting initiatives
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with technical teams, leadership, and business stakeholders
- Document meetings, decisions, action items, and communications
- Help gather requirements and recommend process improvements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree with additional relevant experience
- Strong technical writing and documentation experience
- Experience creating process flows, diagrams, and visual documentation using PowerPoint or Visio
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of technical writing experience
- Experience supporting compliance or regulatory projects
- Experience with SOP documentation and process improvement initiatives
- Strong schedule management and planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple reporting requirements simultaneously
