Superintendent

Responsibilities

CORE Construction is seeking a Superintendent to provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction on large scale commercial projects in Southern Nevada. The candidate will be responsible for all on-site activities of a construction project ranging from start-up to punch-out, including:

• Coaching subcontractors on safe construction practices
• Quality control, ensuring all subcontractor deficiencies are corrected
• Maintaining the project schedule and establishing the critical path for subs and vendors
• Facilitating and encouraging subcontractor coordination
• Working with design team and owner to overcome challenges / unforeseen conditions
• Reviewing all drawings, specifications and submittals
• Daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates
  
  

The superintendent’s role is to ensure whatever is required to facilitate the construction of the project on-site from beginning to completion while utilizing CORE’s best practices in safety, quality, schedule and cost while maintaining relationships with both our trade partners and our clients. These large-scale projects are often for a wide range of institutional clients, including colleges, universities, K-12 districts, municipalities, healthcare systems and more.

• Minimum 10 years construction experience
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
• Complete and detailed experience with subcontractor and construction sequencing
• Understanding of ASI’s, RFI’s and Material Submittals
• Technology: Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Project and Procore
• Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods
• Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service
• Must be willing to travel within the state of Nevada
• OSHA 30
• A valid Driver’s License
• This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and employee is not eligible for overtime compensation.
