We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our team in the construction industry. This role is ideal for a strategic, results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The Permanent Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all stages of the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality. This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of construction planning and building codes. Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design, project specifications, regulations, timelines, and safety codes.
2. Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring that all deadlines are met.
3. Oversee budgeting, contract management, and procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
4. Collaborate with architects and engineers to interpret and execute blueprint designs.
5. Manage relationships with subcontractors, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
6. Ensure all construction activities align with current building codes and regulations.
7. Develop and implement construction plans, managing any changes or adjustments as needed.
8. Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.
9. Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a superintendent role in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in budgeting, scheduling, contract management, blueprint reading, subcontractor management, and construction planning.
3. In-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations.
4. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to address and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
5. Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
7. A strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and excellence in all aspects of the construction process.
8. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. Certifications in construction safety, project management, or a related field are highly desirable.
