Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Navy Vessel Project Manager with a strong background in managing complex ship repair and maintenance projects, specifically involving Combat Management and Auxiliary Vessel Systems (CMAV) and Engine Room Auxiliary Systems (ERAVs). The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in coordinating large-scale Navy vessel repairs, ensuring operational readiness, and maintaining strict compliance with Navy standards and protocols. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison with naval commands and ship crews, ensuring clear communication on project status, requirements, and operational impact.
- Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and closeout of Navy vessel repair and upgrade projects, with a focus on CMAV and ERAV systems.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams, including technical specialists in Navy systems, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Coordinate technical assessments, troubleshooting, and repairs related to combat management systems and auxiliary systems onboard vessels.
- Monitor project progress against Navy specifications, regulations, and contractual obligations; proactively mitigate risks.
- oversee contractor and Navy personnel activities to maintain safety, quality, and procedural compliance throughout project execution.
- Ensure all work aligns with Navy security protocols, including access credentials such as TWIC and DBIDS, and relevant military safety standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Extensive experience managing Navy vessel repair projects, particularly involving CMAV and ERAV systems.
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearances and credentials, including TWIC and DBIDS.
- Must pass a detailed background check and drug screening as part of the onboarding process.
- Valid State of Hawaii driver’s license (Class 3 or higher) and reliable transportation for site visits across multiple Navy ship repair facilities.
- Strong understanding of Navy maintenance procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership and communication skills in a military or naval environment.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic operational contexts and coordinate with multiple stakeholders effectively.
