We’re partnering with a respected, multidisciplinary engineering firm to hire a Senior Structural Engineer for their Edison, NJ office. This is a strong opportunity for a bridge-focused Structural Engineer who wants project ownership, technical variety, and clear progression within a collaborative team.
You’ll work across bridge design, inspection, and transportation infrastructure, with exposure to broader structural projects and direct access to senior leadership. This role suits someone who wants to move beyond pure design and take on responsibility across the full project lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead structural analysis and design for bridge and transportation projects
- Take ownership of simple to moderately complex assignments
- Carry out bridge inspections and site investigations
- Produce and review calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Support construction administration, RFIs, and field issues
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects and engineers
- Contribute to projects from initial assessment through construction
What They’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 7–15 years’ experience in structural engineering
- NJ PE required (NY PE a strong plus)
- Experience in bridge design and/or inspection
- Familiarity with NJDOT, NYSDOT, or NYCDOT standards preferred
- Strong understanding of codes and structural analysis software
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit is a plus)
- Able to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively

Salary : $130,000 - $165,000
