You’ll manage structural projects from concept through construction, help mentor junior staff, and work on a diverse portfolio ranging from historic renovations and mixed-use towers to institutional and educational facilities. What you’ll be doing:
- Lead structural engineering design for projects including educational buildings, adaptive reuse, and mixed-use developments
- Oversee project scope, schedule, budgets, and documentation
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and CAD staff; review calculations and drawings for code and quality compliance
- Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and owners from kickoff to construction
- Conduct structural assessments and provide forensic analysis or value engineering as needed
- Represent the firm at client meetings, construction sites, and with local permitting jurisdictions
- Support office leadership in quality control and business development efforts
What you’ll bring:
- PE license required; SE license a plus
- 8–10 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in a small or mid-sized firm
- Proven experience in building design (commercial, residential, institutional, or adaptive reuse)
- Proficiency with Revit Structure and structural design software (RAM, RISA, ETABS, etc.)
- Strong communication, mentorship, and organizational skills
- A responsive, client-focused approach and collaborative work style
- Ability to travel occasionally to nearby office locations as needed
