We’re working with a highly respected structural engineering firm expanding its presence in Arlington, Virginia. This opportunity is on behalf of a key client, offering the chance to step into a senior technical role with real project ownership and long-term growth.


You’ll join a collaborative team delivering complex building projects, while working in a modern, high-end office environment overlooking the Potomac River with views toward the National Mall.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead structural engineering projects through all phases of design and construction
  • Oversee production of drawings, calculations, and specifications
  • Coordinate with architects and multidisciplinary design teams
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and deliverables
  • Perform and review seismic and lateral system design (braced frames, moment frames, shear walls)
  • Serve as primary client contact and maintain strong relationships
  • Support construction administration, RFIs, and site coordination
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development


What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • PE license required (SE preferred)
  • 7 years of structural engineering experience
  • 2 years of project leadership or management experience preferred
  • Strong background in seismic design and lateral systems
  • Proficiency in ETABS, RISA, RAM, Enercalc, and Revit
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously


Compensation & Benefits

  • $130,000 – $175,000 base salary, depending on experience
