Senior Project Manager — Civil / Land Development (PE Required)

An established civil engineering and land development consulting firm is hiring a Senior Project Manager to partner closely with executive leadership and run the day-to-day performance of a project delivery group. This is a highly visible role responsible for project profitability, project controls, client satisfaction, and team leadership.

You’ll directly influence utilization, forecasting, change management, and overall department execution.
What you’ll lead
- Oversee planning, scheduling, coordination, and delivery across multiple active projects
- Drive strong project controls: progress tracking, percent complete, cost-to-complete, resourcing, and deadlines
- Ensure billing accuracy and timeliness; maintain performance against revenue/billing goals
- Lead proposal development and scope/fee development; identify when additional services/change orders are needed
- Maintain senior-level client relationships and participate in key client meetings
- Run weekly project/staffing meetings and provide clear status reporting to leadership
- Enforce QA/QC and submission standards; ensure documentation is complete and on time
- Manage and mentor Project Managers (training, coaching, performance feedback, accountability)
- Coordinate with internal teams and external parties (clients, agencies, consultants, contractors)
- Support department-wide continuous improvement, training, and professional development
Experience / requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering active PE license (required)
- 10 years civil engineering experience with demonstrated leadership over multiple projects/teams
- Strong background in project financials (budgeting, forecasting, billing/WIP, change management)
- AutoCAD experience required (Civil 3D a plus if relevant to your environment)
- Working knowledge of hydrology/stormwater principles
- Familiarity with entitlement/permitting workflows (e.g., maps/adjustments, easements/ROW, grading/building/encroachment/construction permits)
- Strong communication, organization, and executive-level presence
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
