Shipping Clerk 

Connect Staffing is hiring a Shipping Clerk – Manufacturing for a manufacturing plant in Garden Grove, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $17/hr on a Monday–Friday day shift. In this role, you will prepare and process outgoing shipments, handle labeling and documentation, and enter shipment details into computer systems. This is a steady, full-time schedule with consistent hours and a straightforward path to long-term placement.

Schedule:Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Verify orders for accuracy against packing lists and purchase orders before shipment leaves the facility. You'll also:
• Update shipment records and inventory data using basic computer systems
• Communicate with internal teams and external carriers via email to coordinate pickups and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized shipping files, logs, and documentation
• Assist with general shipping and receiving tasks as directed

Minimum Requirements

• 1 year of experience in a shipping, warehouse, or distribution environment
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and email communication
• Ability to read and verify order documentation accurately

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using a shipping or warehouse management system (WMS)
• Familiarity with carrier portals or freight documentation (UPS, FedEx, LTL bills of lading)
• Experience in a manufacturing or production facility
• Background in order fulfillment, inventory control, or receiving
• Preferred prior job titles: Shipping Clerk, Shipping Associate, Warehouse Clerk, Logistics Clerk, Shipping and Receiving Clerk, Order Fulfillment Associate, Inventory Clerk, Distribution Clerk, Warehouse Associate, Shipping Coordinator

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and meet shipment deadlines
• Work boots required (employee-provided)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Background check required
