Connect Staffing is hiring a Router Operator for an aluminum forgings manufacturing plant in Santa Ana, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $19/hr on a second-shift schedule with approximately 8 hours of weekly overtime. In this role, you will use router tools and air-powered deburring tools to remove excess metal and forging flash from aluminum forged parts, setting up cutters and bearings to match blueprint specifications. Pay: $19/hr
Schedule: Monday–Thursday 3:30 PM–2:00 AM; Fridays 1:30 PM–10:00 PM; Saturdays as needed

Overtime: Weekly OT required (~8 hrs/wk)
Responsibilities
- Inspect forged aluminum parts by sight and touch to identify forging flash and excess metal.
- Select and install the correct cutters and bearings to route parts to blueprint specifications and shop orders.
- Mount parts in holding fixtures or hand-hold to secure them during routing.
- Use precision measurement tools — including calipers, scissor micrometers, height gages, and ball/flat micrometers — to verify part dimensions.
- Report equipment or facility defects to a supervisor.
- Maintain accurate part and workpiece counts per job-specific traveler documents.
Minimum Requirements
- 3 months of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with routing, deburring, or material removal in a metal fabrication or machining environment.
- Familiarity with precision hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, or height gages.
- Experience working with aluminum, castings, or forged metal components.
- Ability to read shop travelers, ICLs (Inspection Control Lists), or similar production documents.
- Prior work in an aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and verbal).
