Senior Accountant – Manufacturing | In-Office
Salary $80,000-$85,000
Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in an in-office environment. This role will be heavily involved in month-end close, financial reporting, inventory and WIP analysis, and forecasting. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on accounting role with visibility across operations and finance.
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages and supporting schedules
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances to ensure accuracy
- Perform bank and intercompany reconciliations
- Support work-in-process (WIP) analysis and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
- Assist with inventory reconciliations and periodic physical inventory counts
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual operating plan activities
- Partner with leadership and the parent company on financial reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
- Assist with AP/AR functions and ad hoc accounting projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an accounting concentration
- 3 years of accounting experience; manufacturing or construction industry experience preferred
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills including pivots, lookups, and formulas
- ERP experience preferred; Foundation experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
